Lean body mass (LBM) and Fat Mass (FM) measured by bio-impedance are compared with the same variables estimated from just height and weight. There were 146 men and 88 women, R-squared values of 86, 85.5, 71.9 and 62.1% show the model to be reasonably accurate (R2 = Percentage of response variable variation that is explained by its relationship with one or more predictor variables. In general, the higher the R2, the better the model fits your data. R2 is always between 0 and 100%. It is also known as the coefficient of determination or multiple determination (in multiple regression). The adjusted R-squared is a modified version of R-squared that has been adjusted for the number of predictors in the model. S represents the standard deviation of the distance between the data values and the fitted values
